This is my husband’s favorite sauce to use when he makes chicken wings. It’s the copycat version of Buffalo Wild Wing’s Asian Zing. Don’t forget to check out our specials this week! ~Amelia

  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chili-garlic sauce
  • 1 TBSP soy sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic, minced

1. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the rice wine vinegar and set aside.
2. Combine remaining ingredients in a small sauce pan. Add cornstarch and rice wine vinegar mixture and stir well. Heat mixture one low/medium heat, stirring often until the sauce reaches a boil and thickens.
3. Remove from heat, allow to cool slightly and toss with chicken wings until evenly coated.

Note: You can substitute a simple syrup of half water and half sugar (sugar dissolved) in place of the corn syrup.
